Day#3 My first day playing WoW

Well, It's really been a very long time since that first day. I started out just when Burning Crusade hit the Market. At that time my wife was not at all into WoW so I was kinda alone. I had made a hunter which was easy enough to do for gathering and leveling. Didnt do much research at the time though. I made him more for the point that being nature orientated it fit me. He was a Night Elf. Yes, every stereo type I hit lol, but it was fun! I was on the Moongaurd server, which at that time wasn't populated so much by the ERPer Derpers and roleplay was my focus. Back in those days, Teldrassil actually had a population and people were pretty helpful. So, I had my mighty saber cat, a beat up bow and the will to start from nothing. The world and colors and quests were SO fun to get into. It was easy back then to find random RP and people had a blast together. Each quest seemed to be a real challenge as in those days I knew nothing about add ons or anything else to speed level. I was on my own. But it was so interesting. Iread every single quest, trying to put the world together and boy in those days the world was so big! Everything was a new experience and there was indeed a sort of magic in the air. So, that was my first day of WoW. Sounds a little corny, but understand I grew up on PnP games and the idea that I could bring to pixel life a dream character was just the bomb for me. Hope you enjoyed this short walk down memory lane, happy hunting out there!!!!

  1. I think we all remember that little bit of magic in the air from when we first started and everything was new and special :)

I totally agree, there is still some sense of wonderment out there. NEVER loose that sense lol. Even if it's flying to a new vantage point and catching a cool sunrise or sunset. Eccentrica made a great point about this in her Blog as well,, and I gotta agree. Go check her out:

  3. I also started a nigh elf as 1st character, back on the day WoW started! The game as changed so much since, that initial magic of Teldrassil was never felt the same way!

  4. @Yojamba Heh, well sometimes a revisit is still fun. Post Cata, I have found the stoylines have changed. Recently I did a revisit with a reroll for my pvp druid. It actually was interesting as new storylines arrived with the Cataclysm. I do my best to still find something new in the game. But thanks for dropping by!!!
