Day#3 My first day playing WoW

Well, It's really been a very long time since that first day. I started out just when Burning Crusade hit the Market. At that time my wife was not at all into WoW so I was kinda alone. I had made a hunter which was easy enough to do for gathering and leveling. Didnt do much research at the time though. I made him more for the point that being nature orientated it fit me. He was a Night Elf. Yes, every stereo type I hit lol, but it was fun! I was on the Moongaurd server, which at that time wasn't populated so much by the ERPer Derpers and roleplay was my focus. Back in those days, Teldrassil actually had a population and people were pretty helpful. So, I had my mighty saber cat, a beat up bow and the will to start from nothing. The world and colors and quests were SO fun to get into. It was easy back then to find random RP and people had a blast together. Each quest seemed to be a real challenge as in those days I knew nothing about add ons or anything else to speed level. I was on my own. But it was so interesting. Iread every single quest, trying to put the world together and boy in those days the world was so big! Everything was a new experience and there was indeed a sort of magic in the air. So, that was my first day of WoW. Sounds a little corny, but understand I grew up on PnP games and the idea that I could bring to pixel life a dream character was just the bomb for me. Hope you enjoyed this short walk down memory lane, happy hunting out there!!!!

Day #2 of 20 Days - Why a Blog?

Ok, so this is day #2.
Question of the day is why did I start this Blog?
Well, I've tried to partiicpate in forums, and often found them filled with I want, I want, I want. Or Blizz sux. Intelligent or just friendly social conversations are never started. If a topic is raised, crappy attitudes ruin it one way or another. With a blog, I can decide what I want to write about. I don't have to worry about snotty commentary. If I don't like the post, it's my discretion as to whether or not to take it off. I also enjoy the aspect of just writing about what I see and experience in WoW for the sake of writing. Now, there are a ton of blogs out there for raiders, pvpers etc...but for me this is jsut for social and friendly talk. Anyways, thats' my Day#2. Happy hunting out there in Azeroth!!!

Day #1 of 20 Days

Day 01 – Introduce yourself
Hi, My name is Keith. I'm married to my wonderful wife Laura. We currently live out in Arizona with our 2 dogs and 3 cats. All of our animals which are very dear to us are rescues and rejects. In my real life, I'm a soldier, have been an instructor and have seen more than a bit of time in third world countries. My main is Mhorgrim, a Prot Warrior that has been busy leveling up since Cata started. I have several alts both Horde and Ally. I currently play out of the Tanaris Server for PvE but jump on my other server alts when the mood strikes me. I enjoy all aspects of the game but never completely focus on just one. Hmm, I'm 42 now, have 6 more years before I can retire and looking forward to it. Ok, that's a snapshot of me for the moment. More to come tommorow!

Fel Iron Blues....

Well, Greens but hey what the hell?

I have been leveling my primary, Mhorgrim at a moderate pace. My main idea was to make sure his crafting came first so I could have comparatively decent gear as I went along. For the most part this worked. I'm hitting a fel iron wall though heh heh heh. Mining Fel Iron on my server is a pain in the ass to start with. The competition is pretty rough to pick it up and farming it is tedious at the moment. For example, to gain 9 points of Blacksmithing last night, I must have gathered over 12 stacks of the stuff. This of course was over the period of 3 hours of flying in circles. I still have 3 points to go before Adamantite series. But alas, my best pieces are almost greyed out, so I get a pretty low probability of increasing the skill. Nevertheless I will march on. I found some really nice armor patterns out at that mushroom city in Zangermarsh. 3 blue plate pieces and all for tanks, OH BOY!!!! What I do wish though is that Blacksmithing had more decent weapons crafting like it used to. It's hard enough finding a decent blade for my tank these days. Especially with the price gouging going on in my server. Anyways, hopefully tonight I'll finish off my fel iron series and continue on.

On the upside, it's given my wife the chance to level up her healer shammy to get back on par with me. She's only 4 levels behind now and when she does hit her low 60's I can make her decent shammy mail since her gear currently is a bit outdated.

The guild decided this weekend we were going to try some classic raids this weekend, so hopefully we have enough people for that grand experiment. Understand, our guild is pretty casual, we are not nor ever will be serious hardcore raiders. Most of us love trying very different ways of running our classes instead of standard cookie cutter stuff. I don't know how well it will work, but the cool thing is, no one gets seriously pissed if we wipe. We always sit down, discuss the issues and try to resolve them. It is a friends and family style guild, but people are allowed to be themselves and shortcomings are for the most part forgiven in playstyle. We just don't like asshats is all lol. If I had but one complaint,  it's that I wish we were on an RP-PvP server so I could go kill people repeatedly....I mean take greater pleasure in adventure...sort of. NAH!!! I miss killin folks!!!! But overall this si still good. When I'm in the mood for pvp, I go to BGs is all.

Happy hunting out there, may your blades never dull, umm something night efish, huzzah!!! and stuff! Have a great day !!!

Charrrlllieeeeeee.....

Mr. Sheen...the world's hero (in his own eyes) has made rather interesting comments about being a Warlock. Of course this turned into a media circus especially among spiritual circles AND of course now the WoW Blog's to which I couldn't resist adding my own beloved 2 cents. Keredria's question of the day....
I found it light hearted and most entertaining. Add your own thoughts on this topic as I'm sure you'll get a chuckle. Not sure what to say? Hmm go google some of Charlie Sheen's latest vids or media...but be warned, you might be face melted for your efforts...... As a Warlock he has "cute" minions to cc you!!!

A Resource for Druids

So,
My wife who runs a druid has been having a helluva time getting used to the way they work. After doing a little bit of reading, I see she isn't the only one. Doing a little digging, I figured I'd throw out a Blog that may be of help. So here is my plug for another which may be of help to others if they are having issues. This is one possible resource by the way. You don't have to agree, but the posts at this Blog seem pretty solid.
